Open House and Artist in Residence Celebration

May 18

Starting at 5:30

There is a lot to see and do with your children. In order for you to see everything and enjoy all the work that has gone into the celebration, we have put together a schedule of events. It is important that you follow the schedule and be mindful of the times. We have four events that are happening: music on the stage, dancing outside on the basketball court, viewing the work on the trail behind the swing set for grade 2, viewing the work in the Fairy Village area for Readiness and grade 1, and meeting the artist, Cynthia Robinson – talking about the process of the residency, in the gym.

5:50-6:00 Outside

This week in Wonders is an assessment week.  We will be spending the week researching our biomes, and taking a Unit 5 Wonders assessment.  Therefore, there will be no new spelling words this week.  We have been so super busy, I figured the children deserved a break.  I am really proud of all of the work that the children have put in.  The unit assessment is fairly lengthy, therefore, we spread it out over the course of the week, completing a small piece each day.  The children are excited to share some of their hard work with you this Thursday!
