I was so excited to see the PTA fundraiser artwork prints.  The children had fun creating these masterpieces, and I am glad that some of you will get to treasure them!

So, last Thursday afternoon, we had pretty much reached our limit on assessments, and decided it was time for a little break.  We decided to go mining for minerals!  We talked about the differences between rocks and minerals.  We also discussed and explored how to identify and classify different minerals.  It was fun to do this with a chocolate chip cookie model.  I was impressed at how seriously the children took this task, and how hard they worked at “mining” out their “minerals”, and performing the different tests.
